Hunter Butler

MD

Dr. Hunter Butler is a native of Alabama, born and raised in “L.A.,” otherwise known as Lower Alabama (Foley, AL). He attended Mississippi State University, graduating with a degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2004. While at Mississippi State he became an avid Bulldog fan. He attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, earning his MD degree in 2008. At Emory he was elected Class President. Dr. Butler completed his pediatric residency in 2011 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. While in residency he met his wife Dr. Miranda Butler, and they were married in 2012. Dr. Butler joined Springfield Children’s Clinic in 2011, where he enjoys a busy general pediatrics practice. Dr. Butler is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His professional honors include serving on the Board for the Tennessee chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, serving as Medical Director of Robertson County Schools, and being named the Tennessee Early Career Physician of the Year for 2017. His hobbies include playing and coaching soccer, hunting, spending time with his family, and all things related to Mississippi State football.
