Alexander Pope
MD
Dr. Pope has been in Middle Tennessee his whole life, born and raised in Murfreesboro. He received his bachelor’s degree with highest honors from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He went on to receive his medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis and completed his residency at UTHSC in Chattanooga.
While in medical school, he was awarded for his “Outstanding Community Service” due to his service with Oxfam America, volunteering at community gardens and hosting cooking lessons for the homeless. He served on medical mission trips to both Limu, Peru and Quanzo, China during summer breaks.
He’s looking forward to being embedded in the Gallatin community and being a trusted, accessible provider who families can rely on.
When he’s not providing care to your children, Dr. Pope enjoys playing soccer, watching movies, reading books and cooking.
